Taklimat kursus tersebut diberi sendiri oleh Pegawai Pertanian Daerah Tangkak, Encik Abdullah bin Hj Rashidi. Kursus tersebut telah dihadiri seramai 30 orang peserta yang terdiri di kalangan guru-guru, usahawan di sekitar daerah Tangkak, Segamat dan Melaka serta kakitangan Pertubuhan Peladang Kawasan Labis. Kursus ini bertujuan memberi pendedahan mengenai tanaman Cendawan Volvariella yang lebih di kenali sebagai cendawan jerami. Media yang digunakan bagi tanaman ini hanya tandan kelapa sawit. Peserta juga berpeluang melihat sendiri teknik penanaman dan kaedah yang digunakan.
